Walk-ability: The truth is that you can safely walk any metal roof without damaging it. Before you walk your roof, however, we recommend you talk to your installer first to get the details on how to walk on your particular roof. And, make sure that you don’t get on the roof when it wet, as moisture will make the roof surface slippery.

Snow: Snow slides off metal roofing. Depending upon the slope of your roof and your geographical location, you may wish to consider the use of snow guards.  Colour coded snow guards are available to match your roof and to protect walkways and property from unwanted snowfall, where such an occurrence is undesirable.

Lightning: A metal roof will absolutely not increase the likelihood of lightning striking your home, since metal roofing isn’t combustible or flammable. If your home were hit by lightning, your metal roof would disperse the energy charge safely throughout the structure.
